Happy Fall Y'all

Fall Fever has finally hit the Holden House!
The windows have been open.
College football was on the tv ALL day Saturday. (Geaux Tigers!)
And....we built our first fire of the season!!
It wasn't the big bonfire of my dreams but it was a fire and the man of my dreams :)

After the roasted hotdogs and homemade chili
We busted out the S'MORES!
I didn't like s'mores as a kid growing up...crazy I know.
But I must say my love for them now is intense!
(Lydia looks like she is about to whack us with a marshmallow! lol)

After the fire we moved on to "pumpkin art".
Can you tell they are a teensy bit excited?

Oh and I can't forget the caramel apples...

This picture was taken just before BOTH my girls began having a reaction to the pumpkin guts. No they weren't grossed out by the "guts".. they seriously had a reaction.
..like burning hands, red knuckles and swelling!!  Who knew?

 Enjoying all the pumpkin "funness".

They were quite proud of their creations.
Very fitting for each of them.

A Night owl

Upon some long overdue "catch up" time of some bloggy friends,
I discovered my sweet friend Hannah has been ending each of her post with a list of things she is thankful for.  I told her I must borrow her idea.
I have found that when I choose to think on what I have to be thankful for instead of dwelling on what I don't like that's going on in my life at the moment, this keeps the "funk fog" I told y'all about from rolling into my heart and hovering there.  So I'm gonna choose to be thankful.
Because I do have so much to be thankful for.

today I'm thankful for:
::leftovers for lunch::
::my mom picking up craft supplies for me::
::tech advice from my son in law..he's my own personal geek squad::
::being called "pretty lady" from my husband even on my "ugly days" ::

Stephanie :)
