Friday's Letters

Dear Lydia,
Thank you for leaving your black boots under the bed in your old room. They fit me to a T!  I mean, I figured you didn't want them since you left them...right?

Dear Stephanie,
Try to get dressed more than once or twice a week. This look is much better for you than the pajama bottoms and grungy green sweatshirt.  I'm sure your husband would appreciate it too.  Ok?  Good.  Let's work on this and do better next week.

Dear Bed in the Guest Room,
I'm so glad to see you were still under that big mountain of clothes and stuff that you have been buried under for the past several weeks.  I was beginning to get worried.  I'll try to keep you freed up so we can use you over the Thanksgiving holidays to actually sleep in!

Dear Mom,
Thanks for the Latte maker you surprised me with last Thanksgiving.  I took a break from them for a few months but pulled it out and started practicing recipes again.....getting ready for your visit! Woo Hoo!!
ps. just ignore that paint job on my finger there and my severely neglected cuticles.

Dear Sherry, the other S,
I love you.   Always. You crazy friend.

 Dear Denim Jacket,
Thank you for being the classic beauty that you are.  I've been wearing one of you since I was in middle school and will probably still wear you when I'm in my 80's.   Thanks for making us girls everywhere, young and old,  feel cute and sassy while covering up a multitude of sins.   You're the best!
PS. this pic was taken at church last week.  We all got the memo!

Dear lady who worked in the snack area at Target,
Thanks for accommodating my daughter's request to split one bag of popcorn and one Icee between the three kids giving them their own bags and cups.  You are awesome!!  I promise she's not being cheap...she's just on an extremely tight budget while her husband is a full time student in seminary.  You have no idea what a blessing you were to her that day so she could get her shopping done with happy kids!  I would hug your neck if I could!

Dear Daughter of mine,
It cracks me up that even though we are hundreds and hundreds of miles apart, you can STILL borrow my things without asking!  At least thanks for letting me know you took these out of my car so I would not waste time looking for them! lol.
ps. You can keep them....they look better on you.

Dear Vintage Handkerchief Hoop Art,
I love each one of you I create.  It's sad giving up my handkerchiefs that has taken me years to collect from places I've traveled.  I always try to find at least one handkerchief from each antique store I stumble upon.  But I decided y'all would be better spreading sunshine on someones wall rather than they just being folded up on my shelf.  Sigh.... But if no one buys a single one of you, I'm ok with that too...then I can keep you all!!

Dear Jackie,
Thank you for placing such a HUGE custom order for hymn necklaces.  I prayed over each one as I made them and asked the Lord to bless whoever receives it.  Also, that He will do mighty things through the ministry, McCallies Home, you are raising money for. He is able! (Epheshians 3:20)

Dear Pretty Retro Dresser,
It was love at first sight when I spied your pretty little avocado green paint job.  I wanted you so bad but didn't think it possible for you to be mine.  Little did I know my wonderful husband was making arrangements for you to come home with me.  Y'all are both amazing! .....now I just need to get my house back in order!  Your arrival caused a major upset in the furniture arrangements.   You're worth it though.
ps. I still haven't figured out your name yet. But you fit right in with Eleanor and Lola. I have one in mind...I'll let you know soon.

Dear Lauren,
Thank you for my vintage cup you brought me home from your latest thrifting adventure.  It made my day!

Dear  Honey Pot Shop,
I've been having so much fun creating new things to fill your shelves!   These are some of my faves AND they're on sale taboot!!

Dear Baby Girl,
Please come out of your momma's tummy!  You've already made your point about being fashionably late!!  Seriously, she is ready to hold you and the rest of the world, especially your Lake Placid Aunts,  want to meet you!!

Sincerely,
Stephanie :)
