Friday's Letters

Dear Big Brother of Mine,
Thank for coming to my rescue this past week when my car broke down.  I'll try to convince Nick to smoke you that brisket you requested for pay back.

Dear Ladies who I will meet this weekend,
I've been excited and nervous all at the same time.  This kind of thing is out of my comfort zone but I can't wait to meet y'all and create some beautimous stuff together.   And please forgive me for not bringing "swag" with me like I've noticed in some of y'alls pics that you have been posting on Instagram.  I don't know what I was thinking...everyone brings happies to these kinds of things right?  And I'M usually the one giving happies.  Seriously. ~sigh. I hope maybe one (or two) other girls are slacking  like me.  #idontwantobetheonlyone!!

Dear Mom,
I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of setting a goal and doing it!  I wish I was gonna be there this weekend when you cross the finish line of your first 5k and scratch that off your bucket list.  You are amazing and you inspire me every single day. I hope I'm just like you when I'm pushing 70 years old! I love you so much!

Dear United States Postal Service,
You really let me down this time in the worst kind of way.  My daughter is 11 hrs away from her family for the first time on her birthday and to make it feel as festive as possible we entrusted 3 big packages filled of goodies that cost a small fortune to mail  just to make sure her birthday would be super special .....and you didn't deliver them on time.  Nope.   Lucky for you, my daughter is growing in grace and still had a special day in spite of the disappointment so I didn't call you up and give you an ear full.  If they don't show up today...well, you better watch out.

Dear Nick,
I miss you already and I haven't even left.  Seriously.  How can I be homesick and I haven't even pulled out the driveway.  How did we survive those six month med-cruises back in our Navy days?! I love you and can't wait to get back where I belong.  Hopefully bringing a really cute wreath for our naked front door.

Love,
Stephanie :)

ps.   To the ladies this weekend,
Since my brain wouldn't shut off when I laid down, I got up and made me some "swag" for our trip.  Woo Hoo! Now I'm all set.  I totally love it too....couldn't love better if I had planned it for weeks.
I can't wait to meet y'all!! Eeeep!!
