Y'alls Faves

Well I know I'm a little late with this kinda post.

Most of y'all have been here, done that.

But I've been up to my eyeballs in grand kids and loving every second of it.

The girls will still be here till the end of the week but they are napping so I thought I'd see how fast I  could do this blogging-with-toddlers thing that so many of y'all are experts at!

I can't even begin to tell you what a blessing this blog has been to me since I started back in May.

Gosh. What can I even say?

I have met so many ladies that inspire me and challenge me.

What a gift you have been to me. Really.

And right when I think to myself, "why am I doing this...can I be using my time better?"..

someone sends me an email or comments on how something I said ministered to them or I run into somebody at Walmart that tells me they look forward to The Honey Pot everyday and what a blessing it is to them.  Who knew?

 So until the Lord comes back, or tells me to stop, I'll keep posting about what I'm creating, cooking, loving and learning along this journey the Lord has me on....

The good, the bad and the ugly.

1. Happy Birthday Fro Daddy

I have to admit, my family was never more proud of me and embarrassed of me at the same time when I made my first rap video for my son-n-law, Chris and shared it with the world.

But I had fun and the birthday boy loved it so all is good!

(and for the record...I'm not REALLY standing in front of Dirt Cheap when I filmed this!)

2. Welcome to Our World

This was our little man Nate's big debut!  After 3 daughters and 2 grand daughters we finally got us a little boy to mix things up!!  Our first grandson :)

He has turned out to be the sweetest and most easy going baby on the planet.

 Seriously.. I know I'm the grandma and all that, but really...I'm not exaggerating. 

He just chills and smiles all day long.

I'm so in love with him.

3. The Long Road Home

This is the post I have received the most emails about.  I shared the journey that we have been on with our youngest daughter as she found her way back from the road of rebellion. It has been such blessing to be used by the Lord to encourage parents who were just about to "throw in the towel".  My sweet Lauren's transformation still humbles and amazes me about the power of God's grace.

To Him be the glory!

4. Kiss Kiss

This was just a fun little post about my thoughts on kissing...

like.. how much I like it.

It got me thinking about my brother Greg who loved to kiss too.

I really miss him and so many of ya'll on facebook who knew him were so kind to share how y'all miss him too.  Remembering is such a good thing. Thank y'all.

5. Picture Night

And last but not least was this post about our annual picture night at the beach.

Little did I know how much y'all would respond to me sharing about our dysfunctional night this year and how there is always a story you can't see behind the "perfect" picture. I'm still learning not to assume stuff about people...there is always so much more than we can see.
